My name is Yim Sereyboth from Grade 10 Achilles. I, similar to other professional athletes and psychologists, have a belief that sport and fitness are two essential factors that help to generate a healthy and favorable lifestyle. Health and fitness are the key to success. Below are my goals, both short term goals and long term goals, and plans in order to build a strong and healthy livelihood.
Goals
My short term goal: become more fit and musculus, reduce belly fat, increase muscle endurance. In order to achieve this goal, I have to be able to successfully complete push-ups and sit-up exercises. Therefore, my other short-term goal would also be to learn and triumphantly compete a push-up and sit-up activities.
My long term goal: Develop cardio exercising habit, increasing strength and stamina, maintaining a healthy BMI level, reducing cholesterol, yielding more confidence when it comes to sport and other physical activities, enhance my mental and physical capabilities.
Approaches that could be taken: Push-up and Sit-up.
Before exercising, it is extremely essential to conduct some warm-up first, which could be done through jogging, stretching, both dynamics and static strengthening, walk, before performing moderate or vigorous exercise in order to avoid injuries.
Specific training principles:
Push-up: This is an exercise in which you have lay your body in a high plank position, a position in which the your body is laid, face looking at the floor, using your arm in order to sustain the weight of your body. In order to perform a push-up, you are required to slightly spread their shoulders and keep your body straight and your palm flat to the floor, only using your two hands and toes to stabilize or balance your body. You must ensure that your body, from your hand and to your feet, as well as the arms are properly straightened. You could relax your head while performing this exercise. To begin the process, you would need to slowly bend their straight arms as much as possible in order to lower their chest to the floor and use the force of your arms to push yourself back to the original position. Please be reminded that you body must be straight during the entire process. The specific motor skills that are required are strength (from arms and shoulders), balance, concentration, controlling movement speed, stamina.
While performing a push-up, you are targeting the following muscles:
- Triceps, which are muscles that are located on the back of your arms because you are using
- Deltoids, which are muscles located on the upper part of the shoulder.
- Peteroals, which are muscles located at the chest.
- Abdominals, which are vertical muscles located at the belly section.
- Serratus anterior, which is muscle located under human armpit.
If don’t incorrectly, it could cause muscle cramps, and injuries within the wrist as well. But, if done properly, it helps to increase muscle strength and fitness.
Sit-up: In order to perform sit up exercise, you need to lie down on your back, ensuring that your body is completely straight to the floor, and bending your leg upward, placing your feet flat to the floor as well. Afterward, you are required to cross your arms to opposite shoulders, placing your palm behind your ears. Your arms must be behind your head for convenience. In order to perform, you must curl or twine your body towards your vertically bent knees and return back to the original position. Ensure that when we perform this exercise, it is done through a relaxing manner in order to avoid neck injury or any hazardous stomach cramps on your body.
While performing a sit-up, you are mainly targeting the Rectus Abdominals muscle, which is also known as the muscles located at your belly. The specific motor skills that are required are strength (belly), flexibility, speed management, agility and persistency.
This exercise could cause some pain within the stomach at first, but it offers a tremendous amount of benefits as well. It could help to increase the strength of the abdominal muscle, build more muscle.
Building more muscle could reduce fat because more fat and energy are used to move more muscles in the body.
